We sent our last newsletter back in April announcing our SimChat feature. Since then, we've been working behind the scenes to release a series of new updates for the Fall semester.
We also have a few more surprises on the way later this month, including virtual patients! 🎉
Until then, here's everything that's new:
Growth Charts
As of this morning, CDC Growth Charts are now live! You'll find them in the Pediatric Assessment at the bottom of the page.
This includes 8 different graphs, including weight-for-age, length-for-age, head circumference-for-age, and more.
Want us to add these Growth Charts in other parts of the chart? We're open to ideas that make it more user-friendly for your students to find — just let us know!
Medication Cabinet
ChartFlow now includes a Medication Cabinet! This new feature allows you to manage the inventory of any cart or cabinet, simulating the workflow of real medication dispensing systems.
No hardware? No problem! We also built a virtual cabinet that students can access within any patient's chart.
Documentation, webinars, and more information are coming soon. For now, let us know if you want access to this feature. It's available at no additional cost but does require activation.
New Patients & Activities
We've published over a dozen new patient scenarios as we near 100 pre-built patient templates in ChartFlow.
And we've also added 8 new Learning Module Activities:
- Blood Pressure
- CMP Review
- Head-to-Toe Assessment
- Nursing Notes
- Pain Assessment
- SBAR
- Visit Navigation in ChartFlow
- Student Orientation (2026)

New Course for Medical Assistant Programs
We're also excited to announce a new course for medical assistant programs.
Fully self-guided, students will step into the role of a Medical Assistant and work through every part of their day in one connected scenario.
Their patient is Zyler Zolek, a 25-year-old who comes in with a cough and fever. Across five modules, they'll handle his registration, billing and coding, prior authorizations, mental health screenings, and follow-up — exactly the way it happens in a real outpatient clinic.
To get started, click Courses on the left and then Add the MA 101 Course from Template to make it available for your students.
Additional Updates
- Revamped Instructor Resources: Our manual for educators received a much needed update for 2026.
- Activity Submit Improvements: Bug fixes & improvements make this feature more stable. Similar to the medication cabinet, it needs to be activated for your program — let us know if you want access.
- Expanded Physical Therapy Flowsheet for PTA Programs.
- New Anesthesia Flowsheet.

Final Thoughts
We had a great time meeting so many of our instructors at INACSL and HOSA this summer.
