ChartFlow's First Step into Publishing
Big news here at ChartFlow -- we are launching our first full textbook! After many months of hard work, our team has finalized ChartFlow's Medication Aide Handbook as part of our new Medication Aide Course-in-a-Box package.
If your school has a Medication Aide (QMAP, MA-C, CMA) program, or would like to start one, read on for more information.
If you don't, check out the bottom of this blog post for a free lesson plan on using a Controlled Medication Log.
Medication Aide Course-in-a-Box
What is a Course-in-a-Box? It’s a set of products designed to cover all the necessities in a program so you don’t need to do an unreasonable amount of planning.
Here's what our Medication Aide Course-in-a-Box includes:
- ChartFlow’s Medication Aide Handbook, our first full-length textbook.
- Access to ChartFlow's realistic EHR including an orders section and electronic medication administration record (eMAR).
- 10 hours of skills lab activity plans included, 2.5 hours of virtual labs. These are already set up in ChartFlow, and all medications are included if you purchase this Fall.
- A set of simulation medications that line up with our lesson plans and prebuilt patients.
- An outline of how our course-in-a-box matches the NCSBN Model Curriculum for Medication Aide programs. Many states use this as a guide for their Medication Aide requirements so it’s easy to copy our products into your own curriculum.
- Free study tools like flashcards for students.
- Training from ChartFlow on how to use our digital platform to complement your students' experience.
Eventually, we'll be selling this for $50/student including all instructor and school resources. For anyone who purchases before 2025, we're discounting it to $45/student!

Free Flashcards and Controlled Drug Log
As part of our Medication Aide Course-in-a-Box, we created a huge library of lesson plans for instructors and resources for students. Some of these can be used across multiple programs from Allied Health all the way to RN or pre-med students.
Here are two free resources we've decided to release to everyone:
- Drug Class/Drug Type Flashcards Play a matching game, take a quiz, or use these as traditional flashcards. For both classroom and student use.
- Controlled Substance Log Lab Activity View our blog to get a copy of this lesson plan, links to print a sample controlled drug log, and all the information you need for setup!
