Nearly a year ago, we unveiled our Real-Time Simulation features for the first time. While powerful, the first version had a few limitations. We've taken everyone's feedback over this past year, sprinkled in a few ideas of our own, and created what we believe is the most powerful & scalable EHR available for Simulation.
This release is jam-packed with new updates, here's the full list👇
Sign-in w/ ID Cards & Barcodes
Students can now set up any ID Card or Barcode to quickly sign-in to their accounts. Just click your name at the top right and go to your profile to add a New ID Card.
From your personal computer, you can also add a Passkey to quickly sign-in to your account. Passkeys are a new alternative to standard passwords and rely on biometric verification such as fingerprint and Face ID.
Real-Time Simulation Updates
If you're one of our Simulation Power Users, this update is for you!
- Preview Mode: We've improved the logic behind students previewing the simulation patients. Once the simulation has started, students will still be taken to preview mode unless you manually add them to the sim.
- Add & Remove Students: You can now easily add or remove students from simulations. Someone joined by mistake? No worries, just remove them and move them into the correct sim!
- Improved Real-Time Connection: You'll find a new column showing the Active Connection status for each user. No more needing to guess or refresh the page — you can quickly see who's connected to the simulation and receiving alerts for new events & documentation.
Device Support
From the Simulation Control Panel, you can now Set a Device to automatically take students to the correct patient scenarios.
1️⃣ Create your Device by clicking on your profile at the top and then selecting Devices.
2️⃣ Once you've created a Device, you can Add it to any Simulation from the Control Panel.
3️⃣ No more wasted time looking for the correct activity or patients — students are taken directly to the current simulation.
New Instructor Resources Page
With all the new updates this past year, we thought it's time to create a new resource specifically for instructors.
You'll find this link after signing-in with your Instructor Account and clicking Support at the top right.
New Home Page
And finally, you'll notice that our home page (before you sign-in) has a new look & feel.
With all the new updates & features we've released in the past year, we wanted to create a landing page that tells a more comprehensive story. Over the coming weeks & months, you'll see additional new pages released highlighting our features & content for specific programs.
